I think the purpose for writing Shanice essay is that she gets to tell people is the real truth of her culture. She explained how they some what recycle by using the animals manure for fertilizing the soil. Also that she as a native American is only apart of 0.7 percent of people in her reservation go to college with her. Some things you know is that people you known from kindergarten follow you up till high school and maybe even up to college I thought that was cool but somewhat boring because you get to know those people for basically your whole life.
